History

Well #1 and Well #6 have been inactive and disconnected from the Sunnyslope water system for many years. The California Health and Safety Code Section 115700 dictates that well operators must maintain inactive wells to prevent water quality impairment and ensure safety.  Division of Drinking Water (DDW) has requested that due to the length of inactivity the wells shall be appropriately destroyed and sealed in accordance with local and State standards to prevent any remote chance of groundwater contamination.

Construction

Sunnyslope awarded the abandonment of these wells to Maggoria Bros. Drilling at a cost of about $55,400.
