Sunnyslope Board of Directors Adopts Reduced Water Rates for FY 2026-27

 

Following the public hearing on August 6, 2024, the Sunnyslope Board adopted water rates projected to help the District recover from 5 years of zero rate increases and the inflation experienced since the 2020 COVID Pandemic.

This water rate model originally included an 8% water rate increase for fiscal year 2026-27.

The Board of Directors together with the General Manager reduced operational expenses for the 2026-27 fiscal year.

Your water bill in July will now reflect a 4% water rate increase which is needed to compensate for inflationary and regulatory cost pressures.  

This reduction in the expected rate increase affirms Sunnyslope’s commitment to community service and the not-for-profit charter that we maintain.
