Here at Sunnyslope County Water District we care about our wonderful customers. We wanted to bring awareness to fraudulent automated phone calls that may go around requesting payment for utility bills. Please remember we do not make automated phone calls to our customers to request payment for utility bills. Our customers will receive notification that their bill is ready either through mail, e-mail, or text message. In special circumstances you may receive a call from one of our employees in regards to payment, but this will never come from an automated system.
If you receive an automated phone call requesting you to pay your water bill and are asked to pay through either of the following, this is a fraudulent phone call:
Cryptocurrency
Wire transfer
A cash reload card
Gift card
If you happen to receive a suspicious phone call that you are in question of, please do not hesitate to hang up and call our office for verification at 831-637-4670.
