Alexis Perez‑Kenny was appointed by the Board of Directors, following the interview process during an open session on December 16, 2025, Regular Board Meeting to fill the seat vacated by Ed Mauro. To retain her seat on the board Mrs. Perez-Kenny will be open for election at the November 2026 General Election to represent District #3.
Alexis has been a long‑time San Benito County resident for more than 22 years and is “deeply committed to our community and passionate about supporting the Water District’s mission to ensure sustainable and safe water resources.”
She is an experienced infrastructure and governance leader with more than 25 years supporting major public works programs and multi‑agency partnerships, and complex capital project delivery. She currently serves on the Design Team Joint Venture Board for the $12.7 billion BART Silicon Valley Phase II Extension Program, contributing to strategic oversight, risk management, and long‑term planning. Throughout her career, she has served on Joint Venture boards for every major project she has supported.
Alexis has also dedicated 14 of the past 22 years to her community’s Homeowners Association board, including five years as President and continued service by acclamation. Her leadership includes guiding capital improvement projects, managing operating and reserve budgets, and strengthening governance practices. She is recognized for her disciplined decision‑making, collaborative approach, and commitment to transparent, community‑focused public service.
Alexis and her husband devote a significant amount of their time to assisting families in our community and neighboring counties with a variety of needs, reflecting their shared commitment to service and support beyond formal leadership roles.
