Water Meter Replacment Project

The image shows a digital water meter with a display for measuring water usage, mounted on a pipe.

The Sunnyslope Water Meter Replacement Project is underway.  If you happen to have a water meter that is on our list for replacement you will see a Water Technician in your neighborhood very soon.  Now that our meters are being equipped with the ability for customers to view daily water usage and set water leak alerts it is important that we replace all prior generation meters which do not have that capability.

Here is what you can expect:

1) A water meter technician will arrive and inspect your meter.  If you have a meter non-compatible with our fixed network system then they will begin the process to replace your meter.

2) If you are currently not using water a staff member will knock on your door and try to make contact with anyone who may be at home.

3) After notification, or in the event you are not home, the technician will quickly and efficiently replace your old meter with a new meter.  You will have a temporary water shut off which you will not notice if no water is running.  Once the meter is swapped out your service continues uninterrupted.

Please be aware that in most cases we will not contact you ahead of time as the water meter is Sunnyslope Waters property and the shut off is very quick and limited.  But in the event that you have a non-standard meter, or if we will require an extended shut down you can be assured that District staff will advise you of these concerns ahead of time.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call our main office and a knowledgeable staff member will assist you.
