Sunnyslope is required to submit quarterly reports to the Central Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board for the treated wastewater from the Ridgemark Wastewater Treatment Facility. These reports provide in-depth detail concerning the volume and quality of the treated wastewater. This water is disposed of through percolation ponds wherein the water supplements the regional groundwater basin.
Sunnyslope is happy to report that it is currently in compliance with all wastewater disposal regulations except for Sodium. To address the high Sodium levels in the treated water, Sunnyslope is encouraging Ridgemark customers to quit using water softeners, which significantly add to the sodium loading.
Sunnyslope County Water District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
